TradeWinds News, March 29, 2013, by Jonathan Boonzaier, Singapore:
Modi Mano, one of the key figures behind the set-up of Singapore-based tanker company Navig8, has branched out on his own to start a new shipping-investment consultancy.
Equity investments in shipping and offshore projects, as well as capital raising and co-investments are also part of M Sea Capital’s business scope.
Mano is based in Tel Aviv, but tells TradeWinds that he commutes regularly to London and Singapore. “I’m very pleased that in its few months of operation M Sea has been mandated for shipping investment projects, shipping and trade finance in both Europe and Asia and has advised shipping companies and banks,” he said.
Mano left Navig8 in September after a six-year stint as chief investment and finance officer. He was part of the initial team that built the company up from scratch.
Prior to joining Navig8, he worked in the ship-finance field with DVB Bank.
