M Sea Capital was founded in 2012 as a shipping investment company with particular expertise in tanker, energy and commodity shipping segments. We offer access to structured asset backed investments through the application of long-term income generating structures in the shipping industry.
The company’s fleet operates under contracts to international leading trading companies, oil companies and shipping operators.

M Sea Capital’s founders and management combine a unique set of skills, know-how and network in shipping operations, shipping investments and global capital markets. Senior Management team members each boast over 20 years of experience with leading organizations in its area of expertise:
Modi Mano – Founder & CEO – Modi has developed his career in top tier global shipping institutions. In 2007 Modi co-founded (Partner, BOD and CIFO) Navig8 Group, a leader in tanker trading, operations and management. Modi was also CFO and Board Member in Integr8 Fuels, a global marine fuel trader. During 2003-2006 Modi worked for DVB Bank and its NFC Private Equity Shipping Funds as an Investment Manager in a wide range of asset backed investments.
In the past 12 years Modi was based in London, Singapore and Rotterdam. Prior to that, Modi worked in Seagull Maritime Ltd, Israel, in ship operations and chartering. Modi holds a Master in Shipping, Trade and Finance from Cass Business School, London, and a BA in Business Administration from the College of Management, Israel, Major in Accounting, Tax & Audit.
Eitan Zepkowitz - Co-Founder – Eitan brings over 20 years of hands on experience in global financial markets. Since 2005 Eitan lived in Tokyo, Japan, where he managed the capital market investments for a multi-billion private equity firm, Sage Capital, transacting large scale investments with leading corporations listed on the Japanese, Korean and Hong Kong stock exchanges.
Eitan generated and structured various structured-finance projects, convertible products and private placement transactions. Prior to 2005 Eitan worked in Zurich, Switzerland, for the CRT, a banking-related fund. In the past Eitan also worked as financial analyst with a top tier venture capital Formula Ventures. Eitan holds a Masters in Law and Economics, from Hamburg University and a BA in Economics and LLB in Law from Haifa University. Eitan is a Co-Founder of MSEA since 2013.
Capt. Debashish Bhattacharya - Technical Director – Capt. Debashish started his seagoing career in 1977 with Shipping Corporation of India. In 1987 he joined Great Eastern as Master and commanded Tankers and LPG Carriers. In 1994, he came ashore as Senior Manager and by 2002 was appointed General Manager, heading fleet operations, ISM and Vetting. In 2004 he joined FR8 Logistics (London) as Operations Director and in 2007 established Navig8 Shipmanagement Ltd as co-founder of Navig8 Group.
The company managed a fleet of 23 Tankers with an outstanding reputation for quality and efficiency. Capt. Debashish also has extensive experience in shipbuilding and conversion projects. In 2013 he joined MSEA’s team as Technical Director. Capt. Debashish also runs an independent consultancy under which he advises commercial and government bodies.

Before MSEA Capital
Over the years Mr. Mano held Executive, Board and Advisory positions in leading Investment, Shipping and Trading companies, latest being Navig8 Group with a fleet of 180 tankers and bulk carriers and an affiliated marine fuel trading company. Mr. Mano managed over $1 billion direct shipping equity investments, as well as $700 million shipping & trade finance using a wide range of financial structures, ship mortgages, mezzanine / hybrid finance and structured products
In his private equity activities Mr. Zepkowitz structured numerous large investments ranging from $20-$200 million in variety of financial instruments including Convertible Bonds, Preferred Equity, Common Shares and other Structured Finance transactions. The private equity activities were with leading corporations listed on various stock exchanges including the New York, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Seoul exchanges
